Great Bridge Presbyterian Preschool was established in 1972 as an outreach to the children in our church and in the community
Our goal is to provide a warm, loving, Christian, environment where all children will know that God loves them, as the staff guides each child toward reaching his or her highest potential. Our program is designed to expand and develop the child’s interests, teach basic skills, promote communication and encourage a healthy sense of self-worth. We believe that each child is unique, and we dedicate ourselves to fostering a love of learning, creativity and individuality in a faith based envirnoment.
We have an “open door” policy and encourage families to participate in all areas of school life. With the home and school working together, each child will have an opportunity to grow develop in a loving and supportive atmosphere. The Preschool offers classes for 2 year-olds, 3 year-olds, 4 year-olds, Pre-K classes and a Kindergarten class
Children must be 2, 3, 4, or 5 years old by September 30 to be eligible to enroll in the age-appropriate class. The Pre-K 5 class is recommended for very young fives who may need an extra year before kindergarten.
Our kindergarten offers an excellent program for those who want a small class and good preparation for first grade. We use the same testing and SOL preparation as Chesapeake Public Schools. Please feel free to ask if you would like to observe any of our classes to help you make your decision for enrollment.
